The problem with the light in Portage is not the light, it is the way the light cycles. It is in a
continuous cycle at all hours.
Many times I have been stopped by this light while traveling on Route 25 when no cars are anywhere on the
cross road.
The simple solution would seem to be set up the light for continuous traffic flow on Route 25 and have it
only stop traffic when cars are present going east and west or when a pedestrian has pushed a button to
allow crossing route 25. The speed limit can be increased as recomended by the state and the people
needing to cross for the post office will still be able to do so.
