Summer Fest Saturday at N. Baltimore

NORTH BALTIMORE – From a fishing derby at 8 a.m. until fireworks at 10:30 p.m., the village will come
alive on Saturday with its all-day Summer Fest.
The annual event features a wide variety of contests, food vendors, a car show, music, carnival rides,
craft and flea market sales, a beer garden, quilt show and much more, something for every member of the
family.
Main Street will be the site for craft and flea market tables, along with rides and carnival booths, plus
food vendors. East and West Broadway streets will offer a dunking booth (West), the beer garden (noon to
10 p.m. on East) and many of the contests (West). The quilt show runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the North
Baltimore Library. A 50/50 raffle booth will be in front of Huntington Bank.
The event is sponsored by the North Baltimore Area Chamber of Commerce and other area businesses and
organizations.
The following is a schedule of events and their location, along with registration times:
8 a.m.: Fishing derby at North Baltimore Park’s pond.
8:55 a.m.: National Anthem at the Four Corners.
9 a.m.: 5K run at Four Corners (pre-registration required)
Car show at Main and Walnut streets (register from 7 to 9 a.m. at the East Walnut Street tent)
10 a.m.: Pet show in the rear library garden (register by 9:30 a.m.)
Diaper Derby (baby races), West Broadway (register by 9:30 a.m.)
11 a.m.: Hula hoop contest on West Broadway (register by 10:30 a.m.)
Noon: Hog roast at the fire department
1 p.m.: Big Wheel race on West Broadway (register by 12:30 p.m.)
Bingo at the fire department (held 1 to 6 p.m.)
2:30 p.m.: Chicken BBQ at the North Baltimore Eagles
3 p.m.: Kids’ pedal pull on West Broadway (register by 2:30 p.m.)
5 p.m.: Cheerleading competition at Huntington Bank
Adult pedal pull on West Broadway (register by 4:30 p.m.)
5:30 p.m.: Corn hole tournament, the old Huntington Bank lot
10:30 p.m.: Fireworks at the park
