TONTOGANY – The July 15 meeting was opened by President Barb Layman with prayer given by Patti Wires. A
potluck, attended by 22 members and guests, was followed by Buckeye Boys State and Girls State
presentations. The delegates were thanked for representing Tontogany Legion and for their
accomplishments while attending. It sounded like another successful year. Tyler Carson was congratulated
for being elected to Boys Nation.
Tom German, Barb Layman and Terri Strow were to meet at Joann Fabrics to pick out curtain material.
The Aug. 4 "Post Everlasting" ceremony at Wood County Fair will start at 6:15 p.m. Anyone
interested in marching should contact Layman.
New unit handbooks were distributed.
Marilou Lehnert won the drawing.
Bring donations for the Sandusky Veterans Home to the next meeting, on Aug. 5. Another Buckeye Girls
State presentation will be heard at the August meeting.
