Kristen Marie Godwin and Rusty Alan Obermyer were united in marriage June 6 at Honeysuckle Hills in
Pigeon Forge, Tenn.
Rev. Jeff Ownby conducted the 3:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Frank and Susan Godwin, Grand Rapids. The groom’s parents are Tim and Tammy
Obermyer, also of Grand Rapids.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless, white taffeta side-drape gown, with beaded
lace bodice and trumpet skirt with sweep train. She wore her mother’s veil and a lime green orchid in
her hair, and carried a bouquet of eggplant calla lilies and lime green orchids.
Christina Conley, Maumee, was the maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Sarah Godwin, Whitehouse, sister-in-law of the bride; Julie Obermyer, Grand Rapids, and
Tanya Obermyer, Haskins, both sisters of the groom. The women wore strapless, white tea-length dresses
with a black rose overlay design and ribbon at the waist.
Junior bridesmaid was Kayla Allgire, Grand Rapids, cousin of the bride. She wore a sleeveless crinkle
chiffon dress of purple lapis with with split front and back skirt.
Chase Godwin of Whitehouse, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
Best man was JR Bostelman, Grand Rapids.
Brad Godwin, Whitehouse, brother of the bride, and Terry Obermyer, McClure, cousin of the groom, were
ushers.
A reception was held at the newlyweds’ home following their return from their honeymoon in Las Vegas.
They now reside in Grand Rapids.
The bride, a 2003 graduate of Otsego High School, is employed in the Wood County Auditor’s Office,
Bowling Green.
The groom graduated from Otsego in 1999 and is employed by Advanta Industries, Petersburg, Mich.
