Tracy hitless in all-star game
PORTLAND, Ore. – Former Bowling Green High School and Bowling Green State University standout Andy Tracy
went 0-for-2 in the Class AAA All-Star game Wednesday.
Tracy started for the International League, batting third in the lineup. He struck out and grounded out
in his only two plate appearances.
The International League defeated the Pacific Coast League’s All-Stars, 6-5.
Powers 46th, Hoops 59th after two rounds of Ohio Amateur
DAYTON – Bowling Green’s John Powers shot a 78 in the second round of the Ohio Amateur golf championship
Wednesday and is tied for 46th (151 total) after 36 holes. Perrysburg’s Erik Hoops fired a 77 and is
tied for 59th (153 total). Also from Perrysburg, Robert Harman missed the cut, shooting an 81 for a
two-round score of 155.
East Sparta’s Lucas Murray holds a two-shot lead for first place after shooting a 73 Wednesday (141
total). Round 3 of the 72-hole event is today at Moraine Country Club.
Family Golf Month at Forrest Creason
July is Family Golf Month at Forrest Creason Golf Course.

Eastwood girls soccer plans camp
LUCKEY – The Eastwood High School girls soccer team is planning a soccer camp for girls interested in
playing the 2009 fall season.
The camp is July 20-24 from 1-3 p.m. at the high school soccer field. Soccer attire and running shoes are
necessary.

Tigers plan tryout camp
TOLEDO – The Detroit Tigers have a tryout camp set for Aug. 10 at Fifth Third Field.
Registration for the camp begins at 8:30 a.m., with the workout starting at 9. The tryout is for players
age 16-23, or those players with previous professional baseball experience. No pre-registration or
participation fee is necessary.
