To the Editor: Real health care reform needed

0

Our health care system is broken. Forty-six million Americans have no insurance, for many of them it is a
dilemma that will lead to bankruptcy and shorten their lives. American businesses are hamstrung by the
cost of our broken health care system.
Congress must pass real health care reform in 2009. A public insurance option will reduce costs,
eliminate abuse by insurers, and guarantee every American the right to choose their plan and doctor.
Health care reform without a strong public option will not fix our health care system.
