The Canadian health care program might be good if you live near a very large city. But for the Canadians
living in the rural areas it is a nightmare.
We are 70 miles east of Sault Ste. Marie. No babies are delivered for 70 miles. Anything more than a Band
Aid you go to the Sault. They have no dental. To travel to another country they must buy insurance to
cover them while away.
The cost of living is very high here. Eggs are $3.75 dozen. Chicken breasts are $4.99 on sale. Gas is $4
a gallon. Milk is $6 for a 4 liter bag which is just a little over a gallon. Cheese is $5.99 a pound.
Everything is about 30% higher plus they have a 13% GST-PST tax.
I don’t see where there health care system is anything to brag about.
