To the Editor: Otsego residents need to be heard

0

Did you know that the electricity used in the Otsego High School and Junior High complex this past school
year cost almost $90,000?
Did you know that at the end of 2006 the Otsego district carried an interest debt load of $510 per
student?
Did you know that this was the second highest in NW Ohio?
Did you know that Eastwood carried an interest debt load of $92 per student and Bowling Green carried $33
per student?
Did you know that OSFC follows the lead of the school board, not the other way around?
Did you know that the school district with the second highest debt per student in the region wants to
take on more debt with a risky, "without the consent of the voters" scheme?
Did you know that if they do this, they will need to pass a levy to operate the new school?
It is time for the "silent majority" to remain silent no longer. Stand up and be heard.
