DESHLER – Margaret Mary (Schroeder) Wagner, 91, of Deshler, died Saturday (June 27, 2009) at Oak Grove
Healthcare Center, Deshler.
She worked at Westinghouse Electric, Lima, and Allied Eggry, Leipsic.
Mrs. Wagner was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Deshler, and formerly of St. Mary’s
Catholic Church, Leipsic. She also was a member of the Deshler Garden Club and Deshler Card Club.
Born March 11, 1918 in Putnam County to Lewis and Amelia (Veroff) Schroeder, she marred Eugene Halker on
Nov. 21, 1940, and he died Nov. 6, 1957. She married Julius Wagner on Sept. 30, 1967, and he died April
28, 2005.
She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Rosemary Schroeder and Agnes Recker; and a brother, Karl
Schroeder.
Surviving are 30 nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Fr. Paul Fahrbach
will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler, with a scripture
service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the church’s foundation or the donor’s choice.
