PEMBERVILLE – Sue C. (Fleming) Bruning, 74 of Pemberville died Friday (June 26, 2009) at St. Charles
Mercy Hospital, Oregon.
Mrs. Bruning was a cook for the TKE Fraternity at the Bowling Green State University. Sue was a member of
St. James Lutheran Church, Bradner and in her spare time she enjoyed cooking, reading and camping.
She was born in Fostoria March 25, 1935 to Orville and Gladys (Richards) Fleming. In Montpelier she
married Merlon Bruning on Oct. 1, 1955 and he survives.
Also surviving are a son, Michael of Gibsonburg; daughter, Pamala Schmitz of Fostoria,; ; abrother, James
Fleming of Fremont; two sisters, Sara Smith of Fostoria and Patti Myers of Clyde, and grandchildren,
Matthew, Tyler, Kate, Troy and Mitchell.
Visitation will be Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Marsh Funeral Home, Pemberville.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the church where there will be additional visitation from 10
a.m. until the service. Rev. Melanie Haack will officiate. Burial will be in Eisenhour Cemetery,
Pemberville. There will be a bereavement luncheon at the church.
