Rossford breaks ground on athletic facility off Ohio 795

ROSSFORD – The Rossford School District is inviting all students, alumni, friends, and members of the
community to attend a groundbreaking ceremony on Sunday, beginning at 3 p.m., on the grounds behind
Glenwood Elementary School on Ohio 795.
The event is the start of phase one of the new athletic complex.
The schedule of events will include a special invocation and welcoming comments from school board
officials and staff just prior to the groundbreaking ceremony.
The event will mark the launch of phase one of what will be a $14 million athletic complex to be located
at the corner of Lime City Road and Route 795, just northeast of Glenwood Elementary School. Phase one
has been budgeted at $3 million and will include a running track and soccer field with seating and a
press box, baseball and softball diamonds, tennis courts, public restrooms, paved parking and concession
stands.
Of special note is that no taxpayer monies will be used in the construction of this state-of-the-art
athletic complex.
The Rossford School District, which has received an "excellent" rating from the State of Ohio,
serves approximately 1,900 students from grades K-12 who live in Rossford, Perrysburg Township,
Northwood and parts of Lake Township.
