Mud Hens fall in 15 innings

TOLEDO – Durham’s Justin Ruggiano hit a two-out, two-run double in the top of the 15th inning to lead the
Bulls to a 5-3 win over Toledo Friday. The Mud Hens are 33-40 in the International League.
The game lasted four hours and 37 minutes, four minutes shy of tying a Fifth Third Field record, which
was set in a 14-inning game versus Rochester in 2003.
Matt Rusch took the loss, pitching 21/3 innings while allowing two earned runs on two hits and three
walks. Fu-Te Ni relieved Rusch in the 15th before allowing the game-winning hit. Toledo starter Lucas
French took a no-decision, allowing two earned runs on five hits in seven inning. He struck out eight
and walked two.
Scott Sizemore, Clete Thomas and Brent Clevlen each had two hits, and Brent Dlugach hit a two-run home
run for Toledo.
