A playground for everyone

0

Children and adults enjoy the new RallyCap Sports Inclusive Playground at Carter Park Tuesday evening. Officials held a ribbon-cutting ceremony, opening the new playground located at 401 Campbell Hill Road. It features a larger-than-life wheelchair-accessible log in the center of the play space. A 5-foot-high artificial turf hillside and accompanying slides create challenges and fun. This playground also features a wheelchair swing, which is designed for easy access. For thrill-seekers, there is a 7-foot-high climbing course. Over 150 volunteers donated their time to building the playground. The City of Bowling Green allocated $100,000 and over 1,000 staff hours to this project. (Photo by Alex Stutzman | Sentinel-Tribune)
