A Bowling Green man was taken to jail Wednesday after he allegedly punched some vehicles.

At approximately 2:44 a.m., Bowling Green police was dispatched to the 200 block of Georgia Avenue for a report of a male punching vehicles. While enroute to the call, dispatch advised the man was also knocking on the front door of a home in that block.

The man, identified as Stephen Harms, was placed into handcuffs, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

Harms had an odor of alcohol on his breath and had a difficult time standing on his own, according to the report.

He could not answer questions, and told police he didn’t know who lived in the house.

Harms, 24, had kicked over a lamp on the front porch, according to the report.

He was arrested for criminal mischief, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct with intoxication.

He was taken to jail and arraigned later Wednesday. He was released on an own recognizance bond.
