Seven women attended the Oct. 7 meeting held at the home of Barb Limes. The evening began with a baked
potato bar. The members brought several toppings for the potatoes. The toppings included onions, bacon
bits, broccoli, sour cream, mushrooms, ground beef, cheese and ham. They also had pumpkin and apple
muffins and apple crisp.
Following the baked potato bar, Betty Wenig showed the ladies how to make simple bows. She them led an
activity where pictures of 20 famous women from the past were circulated around the group along with a
list of 20 names. Each woman was to match the pictures with the names.
Limes agreed to take over being the group’s president. Everyone appreciated the many years that Wenig led
the group.
The next meeting will be Nov. 4 at the home of Miriam Aufdenkamp. The group will be making various felt
ornaments. Marian Frobose will be the co-hostess.
