Lecture on sustainability offered by Lourdes

SYLVANIA – On Nov. 12, the Science Alliance for Valuing the Environment Inc. will host a lecture
titled: "The Essentials of Agricultural Sustainability." The lecture features John Ikerd,
Professor Emeritus of Agricultural Economics, University of Missouri Columbia, who will speak on creating a
sustainable agriculture by setting our priorities and principles right by giving the pursuit of happiness
priority over the pursuit of economic efficiency.The lecture will be held from 7:30 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. in the
Franciscan Theater and Conference Center of Lourdes University. Attendance is free and open to the public.
