Badenhop takes loss for Marlins
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Former Perrysburg High School and Bowling Green State University standout Burke
Badenhop suffered his third loss of the season in Florida’s 3-2 loss at Tampa Bay Saturday.
Badenhop (5-3) pitched 2/3 of an inning, allowing a game-winning sacrifice fly as the Devil Rays won in
the bottom of the ninth. Badenhop allowed one earned run on one hit without a walk or a strikeout.
For the season Badenhop has a 3.70 earned-run average with 27 strikeouts and 14 walks in 411/3 innings
pitched.
Reimold homers for Baltimore
BALTIMORE – Former Bowling Green State University standout Nolan Reimold hit his ninth home run of the
season for Baltimore on Saturday. Reimold’s three-run homer in the fifth inning gave the Orioles the
lead en route to a 6-3 win over Washington.
Reimold finished Saturday 1-for-3 with a walk and went 0-for-3 with a walk and run scored in Sunday’s 5-3
loss to the Nationals.
For the season (40 games) Reimold is batting .286 with 20 runs batted in and 18 runs scored.
