MILLBURY — On Tuesday, the Lake Township Board of Trustees approved the request by Buckeye Cablevision, Inc. for road bores for the purpose of installing underground fiber optic cable.

The cable will connect those who are not already connected to the rest of the township.

“Lots of the township does not have cable yet,” said Chairwoman Melanie Bowen-Greenwald. “This is a good thing that they are branching out into more of the township.”

The fiber optic cable will be intalled on Alexander Drive, Argyle Forest Drive and Wesley Drive.

The board also authorized the disposal of surplus vehicles/equipment through public auction. A date has not been set up yet.

It was announced that Lake Township Safety Day will be held in Friendship Park on June 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Kids can bring their bicycles.

The next board meeting will take place in the Administration Hall on June 18 at 5:30 p.m.
