Robert “Bob” Bostelman, 92, of Napoleon, Ohio passed away June 1, 2024.

He was born March 23, 1932 in Liberty Center, Ohio to the late Carl and Opal (Roach) Bostelman. He married Maria Nagy on December 12, 1953 and she preceded him in death.

Bob served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. While he was stationed in Austria he met and married his wife of 68 years. He was active Army for 4 years and then in the Army Reserves for an additional 16 years and retired from service in 1970.

He worked at Libby Owens Ford for 30 years before retiring in 1985. After retirement he spent the winters in Florida. He and his wife entertained their children and grand children over Thanksgiving Holidays and Spring Breaks. While in Florida they enjoyed golfing and square dancing for over 30 years.

Bob was a member of the American Legion in Custar, Ohio, for over 60 years.

He is survived by his daughters Erna (Joel) Wallace of Napoleon, Ohio and Linda (Dan) Whitacre of Napoleon, Ohio, grandchildren Heath (Alana) Wallace, Joell Rider, Robert (Liza) Whitacre, Jacoby (Megan) Whitacre and Kathryn (Dan) Stefanczuk and great-grandchildren Kenton, Jamison, Abrie, Jolie, Joey, Brian, Evelyn, Cailyn, Ashlyn, Gabriella, Mia, Gracie, Olivia, Ella, Charlotte and Sebastian.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, wife Maria and siblings Julian Bostelman, Wilbur Bostelman, Roy Bostelman, Carl “Jack” Bostelman, Jim Bostelman, Luella Lamb and Dora Mae Hinkle-Eiche.

A graveside service at St Louis Cemetery in Custar, Ohio will be held for Bob and Maria, Maria’s sister, Anna Nagy and niece Linda Ziegenfuss. An announcement will be made when a date has been set.

Bob was blessed with a healthy, long and loving life.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dunn Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
