Candace (Candy) Ann Bucher, 76, of Swanton, Ohio passed away May 29, 2024.

She was born June 8, 1947 in Glen Falls, New York to the late Floyd and Gereldine (Pomikai) Harris. She married John Bucher July 28, 2003 and he survives in Swanton.

Candy worked at BGSU for over 30 years. Candy loved being a “Mamaw.” She loved to watch and hear everything that her grandchildren were involved with. Candy enjoyed spending her winters with her friends in Englewood, Florida, riding her motorcycle and camping. She loved a good glass of wine and spending time with her cherished family and friends. She had an infectious smile that she shared with everyone lucky enough to know her.

Along with her husband John, Candy is survived by her brothers Darwin Harris, Douglas Harris and Tim Harris, her sons Scott Johnson of Loundonville, Ohio and Todd (Lisa) Johnson of Zanesville, Ohio, stepson Mike (Trish) Bucher of Bellevue, Ohio, stepdaughter Michelle (Matt) Parsons of Denver, Colorado and grandchildren Grace Johnson, Andrew Johnson, Landon Johnson, Ellie Johnson and Justin Bucher.

Services will be private for the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home in Whitehouse, Ohio.
