Perrysburg holds annual Fishing Derby

PERRYSBURG — The City of Perrysburg’s annual Fishing Derby will be held on June 1 from 8-11:30 a.m. at the large pond located at Three Meadows Park, 700 Three Meadows Dr. Rain date will be June 8.

The Fishing Derby is open to the public to children ages 16 and under. They must be accompanied by an adult for the entire derby. Registration will take place onsite the day of the derby.

Prizes will be awarded for the longest perch, bass and catfish. There will also be random prize drawings.

Participants are asked to bring their own rod, tackle, and bait. Food and drinks will not be provided but participants are encouraged to bring their own. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted at the park.

Also on June 1, the City Pool at Municipal Park will open to the public. Pool hours are 1-8:30 p.m., Sunday through Saturday. Season passes for Perrysburg residents are sold through the Fort Meigs YMCA.
