Show your support of the Wood County Park District with the purchase of a commemorative 90th anniversary T-shirt.

There are five options available on the e-store. The imprint of a stained glass oak tree has pieces of the design open to the shirt color beneath. T-shirts can be purchased until Monday through the online store found at wcparks.org (What’s New) or facebook.com/WoodCountyParkDistrict.

The Board of Park Commissioners, staff, volunteers, and Friends of the Parks is celebrating the 90th year of the Wood County Park District. Since 1934, the park district has grown to 21 preserves and parks around Wood County, while honoring its mission to conserve, enhance, and protect the natural and cultural resources of Wood County, by providing quality outdoor recreational and educational opportunities for Wood County citizens.

The Friends of the Parks have been working hard on the History of the Parks project. Through library and historical research, reviewing and digitizing old slides and photos, and cataloging record archives, volunteers have worked hard to produce a comprehensive history of the parks. See a synopsis online at wcparks.org.
