I-475 closed for oil cleanup

The Toledo Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a single vehicle roll over injury crash that occurred today at 12:04 p.m. in Springfield Township, on Dorr Street and Interstate 475 southbound off ramp.

A 2016 International commercial, operated by Leo Preston was traveling westbound on Dorr Street, when his truck overturned in the roadway. The commercial load spilled an oil substance into the roadway.

The roadway will remain closed for an extended period of time for cleanup.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by Lucas County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio Department of Transportation, Springfield Fire & Rescue and Environment Protection Agency.

The crash remains under investigation.
