MILLBURY – Lake Township’s fire chief has resigned.

Township Administrator Mark Hummer told trustees in an email today that Barrett Dorner had turned in all of his equipment and will resign effective June 4 and will be using vacation and personal leave until then.

Deputy Chief Dave Henninger will assume the command of the fire department pending board action at its meeting on May 21.

Dorner has been fire chief since January 2023.

He started his fire career in Rossford as a volunteer in 2009. He is a firefighter, paramedic, fire and EMS instructor and inspector.
