Man arrested at BG hotel for disorderly conduct

This morning around 2:08 a.m., Bowling Green police were dispatched to the 140 block of Campbell Hill Road for a suspicious person.

According to the Bowling Green Police Division report, a guest at the hotel approached a Bowling Green State University police officer, stating that a man wearing his hood up and making them uncomfortable in the hotel lobby.

When officers arrived, they spoke with the front desk staff and when asked about the male, they indicated that he was behind the pillar laying on a couch and would not wake up to speak with them.

Officers smelled a strong alcoholic odor on the man’s breath and he displayed slowed/slurred speech throughout the conversation.

The man stated that he had consumed “a few shots” earlier. When asked where he was, the man stated that he did not know where he was, or how he got there. After refusing multiple attempts to call someone, the man was arrested.

Da Shon Manuel, 32, Toledo, was arrested for disorderly conduct-intoxicated/unable to care for self and was taken to jail.
