A Perrysburg man has been indicted for carrying a concealed gun while intoxicated.

A Wood County grand jury on May 1 indicted Richard J. Jarzeboski, 28, for carrying a concealed weapon, a fifth-degree felony; using weapons while intoxicated and aggravated menacing, both first-degree misdemeanors; and domestic violence, a fourth-degree misdemeanor.

On March 19, Perrysburg Township police were dispatched to a domestic violence complaint. Jarzeboski was found to be carrying a concealed handgun in his waistband. Officers told him not to touch the firearm after which Jarzeboski grabbed it and removed it from his waistband. He dropped it on the ground but not before the officer drew his firearm and pointed it at the offender.

The firearm, a Taurus PT-111 G2, had a magazine with seven rounds in it.

Neighbors across the street told police Jarzeboski had threatened them as well as a woman who had asked them to call 911.

Officers could smell a strong odor of alcohol on Jarzeboski when they detained him.
