On Friday around 3:27 a.m., Bowling Green police were dispatched to the 500 block of North Main Street.
The caller heard a male and female arguing, and the female said she was choked, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.
Dakota Beaty, 29, Bowling Green, was arrested for strangulation and was taken to jail.
When police arrived at the scene, they observed a male and female walking northbound in the 500 block of North Main Street.
When asked by police what happened, the female initially stated that she had an asthma attack and had to sit down and did not have her inhaler. She declined medical attention, according to the report.
The female stated that she was mad at Beaty for going out to the bars and went looking for him. She initially told police that nothing physical happened between the two of them but later admitted that Beaty grabbed her by the throat, according to the report.
Officers did not observe any serious injuries.
