Fire damages BG home

On Thursday around 9:30 p.m., the Bowling Green Fire Division responded to a house fire on 705 S. Wintergarden Road.

The fire began in the kitchen of the two-story house, causing significant smoke damage to the structure, according to Capt. Luke Ward.

The fire was contained within a few minutes. The residents of the home were the ones who called, he said.

No injuries were reported.

Mutual aid was provided by Mid County 120 EMS and Center Township Fire Department.
