The Bowling Green DECA chapter is a satellite program of Penta Career Center located at Bowling Green High School.

The following students received special recognition of individual ability and achievement at the state level:

• Seniors Drake Joseph, Braden Loomis, and Casey Moore, Sales Project- 4th Place

• Senior Jackson Horst, Personal Financial Literacy- 5th Place

These students will advance to international level competition at the DECA International Career Development Conference that will be held April 27-30 in Anaheim, California.

As an integral part of the classroom curriculum, DECA’s industry-validated competitive events are aligned with the National Curriculum Standards in the career clusters of marketing, business management and administration, finance, and hospitality and tourism. DECA’s competitive events directly contribute to every student being college and career-ready when they graduate from high school. Several business professionals evaluated the members’ performance in the format of role-plays, case studies and prepared presentations.

“We had 52 Penta BGHS DECA members compete are the district level, 42 placed to compete at the state competition, and 11 Top 10 finalist. Each of our chapter members should be proud of their personal and professional development,” said Cara Maxey, marketing instructor and DECA advisor.
