State releases funds for county projects

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg) has announced more than $2.9 million has been awarded to projects in Wood County, including renovations to the Owens State Community College Perrysburg campus and road construction on Ohio 281. The State Controlling Board approved the measure during Monday’s meeting.

“These funds will not only enhance the learning environment for students at Owens but also make a significant investment in our infrastructure development here in Wood County,” Ghanbari said.

The approved items for Wood County include:

• $1,187,752.73 to Owens State Community College for roofing renovations on multiple buildings at the Perrysburg campus

• $1,750,000 to replace a structure on Route 281 over Creps Ditch
