3 men cited for fighting

Bowling Green police were on patrol in the area of the 300 block of East Wooster Street Sunday when they noticed a group of males fighting on the east side of a bar.

Upon the activation of their cruiser’s emergency lights, the group stopped fighting and ran southbound behind the bar.

One of the members involved in the fight walked away from police and was told not to run multiple times, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

When approached by police, the man, identified as Robert Opalewski, tried to break free before being handcuffed.

Opalewski, 22, Metamora, was arrested for disorderly conduct/fighting, obstructing official business and resisting arrest. He posted bond at the police station.

Opalewski told police he did not know the other two men, who were seen running westbound across South Summit Street before being located hiding behind a shed.

Toby Swayne, 18, Bowling Green, was arrested for disorderly conduct/fighting, obstructing official business, underage/under the influence and possession of hashhish. He was taken jail.

Cameron Person, 19, Bowling Green, was arrested for disorderly conduct/fighting and obstructing official business. He also was cited for prohibited acts and driver’s license misrepresentation. He also was taken to jail.
