On Wednesday around 5:49 p.m., Bowling Green police responded to Wood County Hospital on a call of an assault where the suspect and alleged victim were both present.

Madani Diarra, 24, Bowling Green, was arrested for domestic violence and aggravated menacing and was taken to jail.

According to the Bowling Green Police Division report, officers arrived at the hospital and were told both Diarra and the alleged victim could be armed. Officers separated them immediately.

Police advised Diarra that they were there because the hospital staff was concerned about the other injuries to the alleged victim that were not consistent with a hurt elbow, according to the report.

Diarra told police that the alleged victim fell. When asked about the other injuries, Diarra told police, “That would be for her to tell you,” according to the report.

The alleged victim told the BGPD that they were together earlier in the day when they began arguing. She stated that Diarra began punching her in the face and grabbed her throat. She also said Diarra grabbed a steak knife and threatened to kill them before threatening to kill himself.
