Joyce A. (Rubel) Wegman, age 89, of Pemberville, OH passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Otterbein SeniorLife, Pemberville, OH.

Joyce was born on July 7, 1934 in Bradner, OH to Leon A. and Mary J. (Church) Rubel. On June 20, 1953 she married Earl F. Wegman at the Salem “Swietz” Lutheran Church in Pemberville.

Joyce and Earl raised 4 children and celebrated 63 of marriage together, before Earl’s passing in 2016.

In addition to being a homemaker and farm wife, she was a floral designer having worked for a floral store in Bowling Green. Joyce was a proud member of the Pemberville Legion Auxiliary Unit #183. An avid fan of the outdoors she enjoyed bird watching, and gardening. She also enjoyed playing the organ, singing and playing games with the grandkids. In her younger years, she liked cake decorating. Nevertheless, her greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren.

Joyce is survived by her daughters: Linda (Scott) Hindall of Gibsonburg, Brenda (Dan) Roth-Diehl of Toledo, and second son, Keith (Annette) Scoby of Columbus. Grandchildren: Brandon (Stacey) Roth, Briana (Nate Gorham) Roth, Brett (Brittany) Roth, Zach (Ashley) Roth, Nicole (Rex Wise) Gomez, Tommy Wegman, 9 great grandchildren, sisters-in-law; Carol Rubel, Polly Rubel, Margie Wegman, longtime friend, Ruth and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Earl, she was preceded in death by her parents, sons: Samuel Wegman, Harmon Wegman, son-in-law: Rodney Roth, brothers: Jim Rubel and Waymond Rubel.

Family and friends will be received 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, OH where funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 11 a.m., with visitation from 10 a.m. until time of services. Officiating will be Pr. Peter Johnston.

Interment will in Pemberville Union Cemetery, Pemberville, OH.
