Dura Grace Bockbrader, age 86, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday (March 14, 2024) at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Bowling Green, Ohio.
She was born on July 28, 1937 in Reidsville, North Carolina to the late Elihu & Leona (Lawrence) Vaughn. She married Ernest C. Bockbrader on August 10, 1985 in Reidsville, North Carolina.
Surviving is her loving husband of 38 years, Ernest of Bowling Green, Ohio; stepson, Hugh Bockbrader of North Baltimore, Ohio; stepdaughters, Judy (Charlie Aurand) Rosendale of Wayne, Ohio, Jana (Doug) Miller of Pemberville, Ohio; stepgrandchildren, Kristin (Joe) Tillison, Kyle (Brooke) Rosendale, Chad Miller, Craig Miller, Crystal (Liz) Miller; stepgreat-grandchildren, Elsie, Emmie, Camden, Karly, Jarret, & Phoenix.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elihu & Leona; sister, Carolyn Candy.
Dura was a 1956 graduate of Reidsville High School. She worked for 18+ years in Quality Control/Payroll for the Lorillard Tobacco Company. She was a member of the Hampstead Baptist Church, Hampstead, North Carolina, member of the Peacemakers and attended the Hope Lutheran Church near Bowling Green, Ohio. She enjoyed making ceramic/porcelain dolls and quilting.
A Graveside Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday (April 5, 2024) at Graham Cemetery near Wayne, Ohio with Pastor Ron Merritt officiating.
