Linda Johnson, 69, of Napoleon, Ohio died peacefully on March 24, 2024 at St. Charles Hospital in Oregon, Ohio.

She was born on August 28, 1954 in Napoleon to Cornelius “Corny” and Ila Rose (Geitgey) Shumaker. She graduated from Napoleon High School in 1972.

Linda married her high school sweetheart, Phillip Johnson on February 16, 1973 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, McClure, Ohio.

Linda enjoyed crafts, camping and monthly lunch dates with her Sky Bank and Lion Store co-workers and friends. She loved country music, especially Elvis. She most recently worked at the Dollar Store in Napoleon.

She is survived by her husband, Phil; brothers, Jack (Darlyn) Shumaker, Gale (DeAnn) Shumaker, Diane (Richard) Roehl and Mary Shumaker; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Callie.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gary Shumaker.

Visitation will he held from 3-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home, McClure and 9-10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, McClure.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, McClure. Interment will follow at Hockman Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, McClure or St. Paul Lutheran Church, Haskins, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
