SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. – The Bowling Green women’s golf team captured the 10-team Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate, hosted by Tennessee Tech at the Sevierville Golf Club, a par-71, 5,803-yard course in Sevierville, Tenn.

The tournament victory is the second under head coach Erin Fahey and first since the Falcons won its own Dolores Black Falcon Invitational in 2022.

“I am so proud of the team,” Fahey said. “It’s very tough to win a college golf tournament as a team, especially with sleeping on the lead.

“This was a total team effort, they played with toughness, belief, and poise down the stretch to secure the win. The course played tough with some windy and cold conditions, but the team fought through it, and I am so happy for them.”

Kayla Davis (+19) led BGSU and finished tied for No. 5, while Ava O’Sullivan (+20) finished tied for No. 8 and Sammie Dolce (+21) rounds out the top BGSU golfers at No. 10. Olivia Steen (+24) finished tied for No. 15 and Makenna Jones (+25) finished tied for No. 17 as all five in BGSU’s lineup placed in the top-20.

O’Sullivan was tied for No. 3 on par-4 scoring (+7), she was No. 2 in par-5 scoring (-2), and Olivia Steen was tied for No. 2 in the tournament with eight birdies, while Kayla Davis and O’Sullivan were tied for No. 4 with seven birdies.

Bowling Green was the only team with three golfers in the top-10 and the Falcons won the event by 13 strokes over host Tennessee Tech.
