Noel G. Hinde died on March 3, 2024 at 89 years and 1 day.
She was born Noel Jane Greenhill to Douglas Champagne and Dorothy (Dougherty) Greenhill in Chicago on March 2, 1935 and raised in Hinsdale, IL. She graduated from Bowling Green (OH) State University in June of 1955.
On August 28th, 1955, Noel married Donald T. Hinde in Bowling Green and had their children there. In 1973, the family moved to Sacramento, when Mr. Hinde became Director of the University Union at Sac State. He died in October of 2005.
She is survived by two children, Lee (Katie) and Laurie (Michael) Lecours, seven grandchildren: Lilah and Molly Hinde, Garrett and Megan Hinde, Jeffrey and Marissa Sohn and Grey Lecours and her nephews Doug and John and niece Jennifer.
Her oldest daughter, Lynne Sohn, died in 2010 and her son Jay (Lori) passed in 2019.
Noel was the Play Reviewer for the Bowling Green Sentinel Tribune from 1962 to 1973; Social Worker with Wood County Welfare Department from 1965 to 1973; and the advertising manager for Jones Brand & Hullin (Coldwell Banker) from 1976 to 1983 and Kiernan Realtors from 1985-1991.
There will be no public memorial service. Inurnment will be in Huron, Ohio and Phillips, Wisconsin at a later date.
