Alan J. Tyson, aged 77, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Feb. 29, 2024 at Wood County Hospital.
Alan was born on Feb. 22, 1947 at Fostoria OH hospital to Norman E. Tyson Sr. and Edith (Snowden) Tyson.
Al is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sue. His children, Anthony (Kimberly) Tyson, Rockport, WV, Lisa (Robert) Counselman, McClure, OH and Abel Tyson, Jerry City, OH. Grandchildren Anthony Tyson II, Justin Tyson, Blake Counselman, Bryce (Counselman) Barnes, numerous great-grandchildren and brother James (Angela) Tyson, Las Vega, NV.
Al was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Edith, and brothers Norman Jr., Daniel and Louis.
Al will always be remembered for his love of hunting, fishing and his motorcycle. He was known for his gift of gab, always having a story to tell, photos to share and getting the best deals for his many “collectible” conversation pieces.
Al lived most of his life in Jerry City, OH and was retired from Bendix Autolite of Fostoria, OH. He was a life long member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
There will be no funeral or viewing per Al’s wishes.
