Gibsonburg, N. Baltimore defeat Lake

In a Feb. 7 grades 7-8 quiz bowl match, Gibsonburg defeated Lake, 82-60.

Top scorers were Brian Kern for Gibsonburg and Katheryn Wilkins and Landon Mikels for Lake.

Coaches were Andy Aelker for Gibsonburg and Heather Janes for Lake.

That same day, North Baltimore defeated Lake, 116-58.

BGCA downs Fostoria

Bowling Green Christian Academy defeated Fostoria, 104-36, in a grades 7-8 quiz bowl match held Feb. 6

Elijah Stalica led the academy while Mya Hutchinson was top scorer for Fostoria.

Margaret Malanga coaches at BGCA and Joan Faisant is the coach at Fostoria.

Eastwood defeats Otsego, Gibsonburg

In grades 7-8 quiz bowl matches held Feb. 5, Eastwood defeated Otsego, 84-70, and Gibsonburg, 98-78.

Top scorers in the first match were Scott McKenzie for Eastwood and Crosby Brewer for Otsego.

In the second match, Ethan Headley led Eastwood while Smith McCoy was top scorer for Gibsonburg.

Coaches are Ken Perkins at Eastwood, Allison Ahrens at Otsego and Andy Aelker for Gibsonburg.

Otsego downs Gibsonburg

Otsego defeated Gibsonburg in a grades 7-8 quiz bowl match held Feb. 5. The score was 98-62.

Crosby Brewer and Enzo Treetop led Otsego while Brian Kern and Smith McCoy were top scorers for Gibsonburg.

Allison Ahrens coaches at Otsego and Andy Aelker is the coach at Gibsonburg.

Woodmore, Elmwood defeat Lake

On Feb. 15, Lake was defeated by Woodmore 132-40 and Elmwood 84-46. The matches were in the grades 7-8 division.

Dash Bordner and Caleb Hoehner led Woodmore while Katheryn Wilkins and Landon Mikels were top scorers for Lake.

In the second match, Ethan Crawford and Evan Strausbaugh led Elmwood in its defeat of Lake. Mikels again was top scorer for Lake.

Coaches are Susan Grant at Woodmore, Katie Smith at Elmwood and Heather Janes at Lake.
