The Positively Pink Women’s Health Series is a program covering a range of topics important to women in the community.

The event begins with social time with a few vendors offering pertinent health information on popular women’s health topics, blood pressure screening and snacks. Each event offers an expert speaker that presents a topic to improve women’s health or offer solutions to common problems women face.

Positively Pink will be on Feb. 15 at 7 p.m., with social time beginning at 6:30 p.m., in the Wood County Hospital meeting rooms. This event will focus on Women and Weight Gain: How to Maintain a Healthy Weight as We Age.

You never had a problem losing or maintaining your weight before, but now the scale won’t budge. It’s frustrating. Normal age-related changes to your body may be sabotaging your efforts. Join Lisa Harmon, a registered dietitian and diabetes educator, as she shares information on eating more healthfully and the strategies to prevent weight gain and stick to a healthy lifestyle for the long run.
