Tobias, Wiley led Flyers past Panthers, 90-77

MAUMEE — Caleb Tobias scored 31 points and visiting Lake put four players into double figures while defeating Maumee 90-77 in a Northern Buckeye Conference tilt on Friday.

Lake improves to 11-5 overall and 6-4 in the NBC, while Maumee falls to 4-12 and 2-8.

Maumee led 66-64 heading into the fourth quarter, but the Flyers outscored the Panthers 26-11 over the final eight minutes behind the shooting of Dylan Wiley, who had 11 fourth quarter points, including two three-point goals.

Wiley finished with 17 points, Preston Snyder scored 15, Carter Behlmer scored 10, Jay Blazevich scored six, Jack Sobczak scored five, Drew Tajblik scored four, and Travis Merrill added two points for Lake.

Wiley had four triples, Behlmer had three, and the team finished with nine treys, plus Lake made 32-of-40 free throws, including 12-of-15 down the stretch.

Ben Kubicz led Maumee with 21 points, Will Kubicz scored 17, and Carter Koepfler scored 13,
