BGSU Department of Theatre and Film present winter dance concert

As part of the 2023-24 Mainstage Season, the Bowling Green State University Department of Theatre and Film will present its winter dance concert “Evolve” at 8 p.m. on Feb. 2, and Feb. 3, in the Thomas B. and Kathleen M. Donnell Theatre at the Wolfe Center for the Arts.

Featuring choreography by Colleen Murphy, Tammy Metz Starr and Adrienne Letner, “Evolve” highlights the versatility of the BGSU dance program with tap, modern and contemporary styles all on display. BGSU students Stephannie Gearhart, Regina Wolf and Sky Yang will also give solos in choreography and performance.

Directed by Murphy, a teaching professor at the university, “Evolve” features lighting design by Baxter Chambers, assistant professor, and sound design by Jason Walton, collaborative arts technician. Technical direction is led by Daniel Mangan and costumes are coordinated by Laurel Daman. The production is stage managed by undergraduate student Atlas Mitchell.

Performers include Alejandro Alvarez, Justin Andrews, Katherine Ash, Leah Bennington, Ruby Brandon, Emma Brown, Payton Camera, Avery Charville, Alyssa Ciroli, Marissa Dawson, Melannie Emigh, Maria Fallouh, Gearhart, Frankie Gross, Jenna Hanson, Lizzie High, Mae LaBelle, Leah Lattanzi, Madeline Lindow, Liv Lutz, Kamryn Marcha, Sammi Martin, Morgan Morse, Jillian Mott, Claire Oliver, Mahlia Proctor, Emily Ritchie, Stephanie Robinson, Reilly Sommer, Kiley Stone, Leah Taylor, Lexi Vega, Jasmine Warren, Corrianne Werning, McKinley Witt, Wolf, Hailey Wright and Yang.

Advance tickets are available for purchase at BGSU.edu/the-arts/tickets and are $5 for students, $10 for seniors and $15 for adults. Tickets purchased on the day of the event are $10 for students and $20 for seniors and adults.
