Joe Average: ‘We the People’ has special meaning

0

The so called “Woke” mentality is turning our country into a more divided society than anything before. Have these people forgotten the meaning of Declaration of Independence and the U S Constitution? Maybe they never learned either of these documents. It is very obvious they don’t know or even recognize the significance of our founding documents.

What does it mean to be an American? Freedom is for everyone, not just a small segment of our population. “We the People” has a special meaning, in today’s thinking – “inclusive.” But that too must have been forgotten, if in fact it was ever learned.

When we read “peacefully protest,” it doesn’t mean blocking access to buildings or blocking streets as many or most of the recent protests have done. This “woke” mentality has nothing to do with being an American. Its purpose is to disrupt and intimidate every one who disagrees with them. Respect for others is unknown to them. All they care about is their own selfish agenda and imposing their beliefs and ideas on everyone. Or perhaps they are really only spoiled children, used to having everything handed to them. When they don’t get their way, all they know is to whine and cry and protest and demonstrate. They don’t and can’t sit down to discuss the differences. Is it they lack the maturity to do this? Or they just don’t have any respect for other viewpoints and opinions?

Are these people so selfish and immature they cannot recognize there are other viewpoints and opinions. Or, do they have an agenda to change our country into some “utopia” they think is better? Do they even know what they are doing? Or, are they following some plan set forth by other people? Questions that need to be answered are everywhere. Questions and no answers. At least not for the average citizen to see and hear. Are they hiding something? If so what? Or are they just being paid to protest and demonstrate? By who?

What this boils down to is over-reaction and/or under-reaction to events, or occurrences. There is no thought to the cause of these events. The real cause, not some reaction to an event that makes people angry. What are the facts, not the made up facts by the organizers. Not the emotional reaction to the event. But the real reasons for protesting. The reasons the organizers don’t want us to know. So much for the transparency we hear all the time.

What we need is some honesty, more than just some. The leaders of our nation need to listen to “We the People,” and not the loud protesters. Certainly not the ones who block streets and entry ways to public buildings. And those who blatantly ignore the laws, and purposely break the laws. Our nation is a republic, a nation of laws. It is not a democracy. The time is now for all citizens especially candidates to acknowledge that fact and remember it.
