PEMBERVILLE — The loss of any family member is a hardship to bear, but the sudden loss of your 17-year-old daughter is unimaginable.

Aubrey Honsberger passed away without warning on the morning of Jan. 8 in her home.

Aubrey was a loving daughter, sister and animal lover. There wasn’t a day that went by that she didn’t try to talk her family into getting a new animal. She already had three horses, a dog, two birds and lots of cats. But if she had it her way there would be many more animals in the family. She was kind and caring, ready to help anyone she could. She had a big heart and a warm smile.

Aubrey went to Eastwood High School, and also attend Penta Career Center for a study in small animal care. Her teachers had her train dogs and other animals. She was graduating in the summer of 2024. She loved life and couldn’t wait to attend Findlay for college in the fall. She planned to take some equestrian classes.

After Findlay she planned to go to the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine to become a veterinarian. She always told her family one day she would own an animal sanctuary for hurt and abandoned animals because they needed the most love.

Crystal, Aubrey’s mother has worked at the Moveable Feast Catering for the last seven years. She has been the sole provider for her family. This GoFundMe account was established for the community to help financially as able.

Moveable Feast Catering is organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Crystal Woodleigh.

As of Sunday afternoon, the account had raised $2,030 toward its $10,000 goal.
