Two Wood County residents have been indicted for fleeing from police.

A Wood County grand jury on Dec. 20 indicted Jaide A. Conley, 27, Bowling Green, for failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony; and driving under suspension or in violation of license restriction, a first-degree misdemeanor.

On Nov. 6, she was clocked traveling 86 mph in a 60-mph zone on U.S. 25 near Sugar Ridge Road. According to court documents, she fled east on Sugar Ridge Road at a high rate of speed. The officer pursued her for two miles at a speed of 96 mph, but her vehicle continued to pull away.

She traveled through Sugar Ridge, which had a 45 mph speed limit, at an estimated speed of 105 mph, according to court documents, then passed another motorist, made an illegal U-turn, turned off her lights and evaded law enforcement.

She was identified by the deputy, arrested on a warrant, and released from jail on an own recognizant bond.

Taylor William Hunter, 33, Cygnet, was indicted for failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony; and two counts operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse of combination of them (OVI), both first-degree misdemeanors.

On Nov. 18 around 1:55 a.m., he was clocked driving 37 mph in a 25-mph zone on North Enterprise Street in Bowling Green. The vehicle fled west on Ridge Street then south onto North Prospect Street. He continued through red lights at East Court and Wooster streets at a high rate of speed.

Hunter lost control after going through the East Wooster intersection, struck three parked cars and rolled onto its roof.

He was taken to the police station where a breath test showed a result of 0.158. Within the past 10 years, he has pleaded guilty to OVI in Hancock County in 2019.

Hunter was taken to jail and released on an own recognizance bond.
