University Women of BGSU will hold their annual holiday party Friday at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Dr. Roger and Barbara Sanchez.
Pianist Michael Peslikis will provide music throughout the evening including many holiday favorites. In addition, the university women’s group the TOOTS (The Out of Tuners) led by Jo Ascunce will also perform three seasonal songs.
This evening of entertainment and fellowship is one of the main events of UW’s annual calendar. This holiday event is also a way to help families in need. This year UW members will “adopt” five large families who have been recommended by the Salvation Army for their Holiday Basket Project.
Anne Bullerjahn, community service chairman, and her committee will deliver the food, wrapped presents, and books for the families and their children before Christmas.
Monetary gifts can be sent directly to Bullerjahn or can be brought to he Sanchez home the night of the party.
