The monthly drive-thru community meal and food distribution hosted by First Christian Church of Bowling Green is Friday from 5-6 p.m. Those who are experiencing food insecurity are encouraged to participate in this free meal. The menu will consist of ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans, roll and butter, and dessert.
Participants are also encouraged to pick up groceries and shop for select toiletries, breads and pastries.
To participate in this monthly event, simply arrive between 5 and at the FCC parking lot, 875 Haskins Road, and remain in your car. Volunteers will take your order, hand deliver the meal(s), and direct you to the groceries and toiletries.
St. Thomas More University Parish of Bowling Green and the BG Christian Food Pantry continue to provide groceries for the food bag distribution. The toiletries pantry will be available this month and participants are also offered a variety of breads and pastries provided by the Bowling Green Christian Food Pantry and the Sweet Stop.
