Driver seriously injured after striking parked cars, garage

MILLBURY — A semi driver was seriously injured after he crashed into three parked vehicles and then a garage before coming to rest against a propane tank.

On Nov. 21 at 1:57 a.m., the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to an injury crash in the 3000 block of Latcha Road.

Mohammad Alem Khil, 25, Miamisburg, was driving a 2022 Freightliner north on Warns Road when he continued through the Latcha Road intersection and into a driveway.

He struck a 2007 Chevy Silverado, 2022 Chevy Equinox and 2008 Volkswagen Jetta, which were parked in a driveway east of the house at 3302 Latcha Road.

All three vehicles needed to be towed from the scene.

The semi continued through a garage on the property before coming to rest against a propane tank, according to the report.

Alem Khil, who was wearing a lap belt, was taken by Lake Township EMS to Mercy Health – St. Vincent Medical Center with suspected serious injuries.

He fell asleep at the wheel, according to the report.

Alcohol and drugs were not suspected.
