RISINGSUN — Two people were injured – one seriously – after a two-vehicle crash in Montgomery Township.
On Sunday at 10:34 a.m., the Wood County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash at Bradner and Girton roads.
Timothy Cox, 58, Risingsun, was southbound on Bradner Road while Riley Betz, 20, Rudolph, was westbound on Girton Road.
Betz failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and struck Cox’s 2020 Chevy Equinox.
Both the Equinox and Betz’s 2011 Chevy Silverado came to rest in the field at the southwest corner of the intersection.
Timothy Cox was taken by Bradner EMS to Wood County Hospital with possible injuries. His passenger, Christina Cox, 58, Risingsun, was transported by air ambulance to Toledo Hospital with suspected serious injuries.
Betz and the two passenger in her vehicle were uninjured.
Betz was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
