The Wood County District Public Library has announced the addition of adapted toys to the library collection. Children learn through play and social interaction, and these toys make learning accessible for children with disabilities.

Supported by a grant from RePlay for Kids, WCDPL now offers a variety of adapted toys at the Bowling Green and Walbridge libraries for families to checkout.

There are 22 different adapted toys that families can learn from, and all are paired with a book. Toys include a dinosaur, dog, airplane, recycling truck and much more with a corresponding themed book.

Families can begin checking out adapted toys at the nearest WCDPL location. For more information, call 419-352-8253 or email [email protected].
